Your future responsibilities include:

  • first point of contact for the management within the holding companies in operational matters of risk and insurance management
  • management of existing insurance solutions and contracts within the holding company
  • responsibility for the organisation of existing insurance policies and the appropriate updating and documentation of risk changes
  • planning market analyses and renewals together with the responsible broker and actively passing on information on market changes, trends and optimisation opportunities directly to management
  • independently handling the entire claims settlement process within the holding company and assuming the important interface function between the holding company and the Group
  • handling all correspondence with the parties concerned, e.g. brokers, insurers, claimants, injured parties, garages, lawyers and authorities, in cases involving the holding companies
  • contact person in the holding company for the Corporate Governance department of BHS Corrugated and regular close coordination with regard to risk strategy and Group insurance programmes 
  • preparation of simple contractual agreements and checking these for any risks for the holding company
  • reviewing and approving insurance invoices and/or the settlement of premiums within the holding companies
  • participation in cross-functional projects within the holding company and the Group to optimise overall risk costs and support with risk identification and risk assessment

 

 

Your professional and personal profile:

  • completed studies in business administration with a focus on insurance or comparable qualification, e.g. as an insurance specialist
  • professional experience in the field of insurance, risk management/risk controlling in an industrial company or a comparable field or another sector
  • strong problem-solving skills are a basic requirement
  • strong service orientation in the performance of the job
  • experienced handling of MS Office applications
  • communication skills fluent in English
  • independence, self-motivation, structured and organised way of working as well as assertiveness, strong communication skills and conscientiousness
  • high affinity for digitalisation and new technologies
  • willingness to travel occasionally
