Your future responsibilities include:
- data governance and data quality: You are the primary point of contact for all aspects of data quality and governance. You develop strategies, principles, and guidelines to ensure that the company's data is accurate, consistent, and reliable.
- planning and coordination: You coordinate the data governance and data quality initiatives at BHS. This includes project planning, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring that goals are achieved.
- framework development: You design and implement data governance and data quality frameworks. These serve as guidelines for the entire organization to ensure that data is managed effectively.
- roles and responsibilities: You define roles and responsibilities related to data usage. This includes data owners, data stewards, and other stakeholders.
- data policies and auditing: You ensure compliance with data policies and conduct regular audits to verify data quality.
- data taxonomy: You establish the taxonomy for data, including the distinction between data products and data management solutions, as well as the entire data lifecycle.
- collaboration with the CIO: You work closely with the CIO, who sponsors the data governance initiative, to coordinate the activities of data owners and advance the company's data strategy.
- data literacy strategies: You develop strategies to increase data literacy within the company so that all employees better understand how to handle data.
This role is crucial for BHS Corrugated as it ensures high data quality, compliance, and effective data utilization.
Your professional and personal profile:
- data literacy degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
- several years of experience in the areas of data governance, data management, and data quality
- in-depth knowledge of concepts and tools for data architectures, cataloging, and classification (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, Data Catalog)
- comprehensive understanding of business processes in complex manufacturing company
- proactive and open-minded personality with strong communication skills, capable of interacting across hierarchical levels and varying levels of knowledge
- independent, structured working style, with the initiative to collaborate with other departments
- enthusiasm for new working methods and innovative tools, with a clear focus even in stressful situations
