Your future responsibilities include
- Develop and implement security protocols, policies, and procedures to safeguard information systems and data
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions
- Perform penetration tests of our applications and support the development teams in performing regular tests on their own
- Monitor network traffic and system activities for potential threats or security breaches
- Investigate and respond to security incidents like unauthorized access or data breaches
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security measures and best practices into software applications and network infrastructure
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies
- Provide training and awareness programs to staff on cybersecurity best practices and policies
- Prepare and present reports on security metrics, incidents, and compliance status
Your professional and personal profile
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Professional certification such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or equivalent is highly desirable
- Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, with a strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus software, and encryption techniques
- Experience with network security, penetration testing, and vulnerability management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Security Act)
- Fluent English and Spanish are mandatory. German language skills are a plus, but not required
- Experience in working with German companies is a plus
